If you have an adventurous soul, then you know that it needs to be fed regularly. There are many thrilling outdoor activities that you can do that will help you feel alive. Consider these activities for your next getaway.

Cliff Diving

There are many different places to go cliff diving, like Diving Board Island in Bermuda. On this island that is only accessible from the water, you can find natural cliffs ranging from 10 to 40 meters in height to dive from into the crystal-clear water below. In the United States, one of the most popular places to go cliff diving is at Paradise Cove. This attraction is located about an hour away from Copper Cove in Colorado. Another popular spot to go cliff diving is at Horseshoe Reservoir near Fort Collins, Colorado. At these two locations in the Rocky Mountains, this activity is known by some as tombstoning because if you are not very careful, you can quickly end up with a spinal cord injury or even face a fatal wound. Safety should be one of your main concerns when cliff diving. Diving in water of unknown depth increases your risk for spinal cord injuries, so just exercise caution and stay safe.

Ziplining

Flying through the air with the greatest of ease is an exhilarating activity that many people enjoy. One of the longest ziplines is found in Sun City, South Africa, where you can go over 100 miles per hour. Flying through the air while facing the ground allows you to see a different perspective of the South African plains if you are brave enough to open your eyes. There are over 11 ziplines in Colorado, so if you want a variety of experiences, then this may be the place to head. You can try the Adventures Out West in Manitou Springs, Colorado, which has one of the slowest lines that allows you to savor the view. Or travel at 40 miles per hour 200 feet in the air in Salida, Colorado’s Captain Zipline.

Paragliding

You can take to the air in a whole different way when you go paragliding. You may want to head to Interlaken, Switzerland, where you can glide over glaciers from 4,000 feet summits. If an overseas trip is not in the future right now, then consider heading to Golden, British Columbia, Canada, where you can paraglide out of a helicopter for an experience that is sure to feed your adventure-seeking soul. You can also find great paragliding in Aspen, or Vail Colorado.

While there are many places in the world where you can have an adventure, if you are short on time, consider heading to the Rocky Mountains. There, you can paraglide, zipline and cliff dive in many different locations. Since it is located in the United States, it is easy to get there on a weekend the next time that your adventurous soul needs to be nourished.
