Journalist Documents Terrifying AR-15 PTSD Gun Range Experience

Gersh Kuntzman recently wrote an article in the New York Daily News about his terrifying experience firing an AR-15 rifle at a gun range. He bravely ventured away from his safe space in New York to demonstrate why owning an “Assault Rifle” was dangerous and offensive.

Firing An AR-15 Style Military Bazooka Rifle

Kuntzman, 51, is known for his groundbreaking reporting on the July 4th hot dog eating contest at Coney Island. His experience covering local food related issues and writing musicals exemplify his expertise and knowledge of firearm safety and gun rights.

Against the backdrop of national mourning over the Orlando tragedy, the respected journalist and part-time movie critic sought to experience the pain of gun control advocates firsthand by crossing over into a dangerous enemy controlled area known as a “gun range.” We are enlightened enough to know what these places really are: training facilities for future murderers.

After putting aside his fear of republicans and a possible sighting of Trump supporters, Kuntzman coordinated a meeting with a European-American gun shop owner. He convinced a reporter and videographer to assist him in this venture into no man’s land, perhaps with promises of Pulitzer or a coveted Medal of Freedom from their beloved President.

Armed with a camera, an iPhone, and a quest for the truth, this stalwart journalist engaged the gun shop owner and allowed him to answer carefully selected questions.

The small business owner proudly shared his preference for socialist controlled European countries and their strict anti-gun laws. As a purveyor of firearms, he proclaimed that everyone who foolishly wants to purchase a firearm should get a full mental evaluation by a qualified mental health physician before they are allowed to purchase a weapon of mass offense.

Kuntzman’s careful and expert editing of the video ensured that these extreme gun control ideas were prominently featured. As any respectable peace-loving vegan knows, the selective truth is the only truth worth knowing.

After tolerating a gun store owner’s baseless arguments for gun ownership, the brave writer donned ear protection and held the lethal assault weapon. Like a soldier who was drafted in the service of his or her country to fight an unjust war of aggression, he gripped the lethal weapon and painfully squeezed the trigger.

Each .223 round spewed hatred and fire as it leaped from the barrel with lethal intent. Cries from war zone impacted children must have filled the heroic mind of the progressive journalist as his heart sank and fear set in.

Kuntzman recounted that “The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don’t know what you’re doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face.”

The shell casings that ejected from the right side of the gun, away from the right handed writer’s face, seemingly boomeranged towards him with hateful intent. The vicious weapon created painful contusions on his shoulder leaving him with a lingering reminder of his brief encounter with evil.

Recounting the Horror of the Gun Range

“The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick,” he said. The pungent smell of hellfire and death choked his senses, damaging his psyche and crushed will to live.

He went on to say that, “The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.”

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a very serious condition that affects thousands of soldiers who have survived the horrors of war. They lived through roadside bomb attacks and watched as their friends were brutally murdered before their eyes.

Kuntzman is a hero for surviving this ordeal. He lived to tell the world the horrors of shooting weapons designed by the military for mass killing. His ordeal is a subtle reminder of how precious and fleeting life is because at any moment an AR-15 bazooka rifle could murder our loved ones.

Gersh Kuntzman’s Sacrifice Must Be Honored

There are no award shows or industry self-congratulatory recognitions worthy enough to honor Mr. Kuntzman’s bravery. His lingering pains and emotional injuries should be avenged in the courtroom with untold millions owed him as retribution for the damages he incurred. He is deserving of the Nobel Prize as equally as President Obama for his noble sacrifice in the service of humanity.

The dark rails and adjustable stocks of these killer rifles have opened our eyes to the danger guns bring by themselves. Their threatening looks and semi-automatic action that mirrors Bambi killing hunting rifles make them a menace to society.

As a result of Kuntzman’s valiant efforts in exposing the evils of assault rifles, he experienced cyberbullying on an epic scale. His gender was questioned as videos and images of young girls enjoying firing similar rifles were sent to his social media profiles.

He responded to the online bullying with a bold declaration of his gender neutrality, “Yes, I’m a wimp. I simpered because my experience with the AR-15 bruised me, body and spirit.”

His example should inspire us all to shelter in our safe spaces, shout down those who disagree with our self-defined version of the truth and elect a woman to the presidency regardless of her lies and corruption. Obviously, if you are not with Hillary Clinton, then you must be a horrible person who likes guns that kill people.

We need braver progressive journalists like Gersh Kuntzman who are not afraid to spin the truth to advance another liberal agenda. Without them, our Facebook news feeds would be boring and free of click bait articles.
